When do we train?

Seniors train every Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm and Thursday nights between 630 pm and 830pm and all players new and regular, male or female, new and juniors are encouraged to attend

All junior grades train Wednesday’s start at 5pm and run until 6pm with under 17s encouraged to also attend senior training as well

What league do we participate in?

We play in the Limestone Coast Football Association with teams from Mount Gambier, Millicent and Portland. The season begins at the start of April or end of March with the Belgiorno cup rounds with our Reserves are the current holders and the regular season starting 6 weeks after the start of the cup rounds.

Miniroos are solely based in Naracoorte with once or twice yearly competition against other Miniroo programmes such as Hamilton, Edenhope and Mount Gambier

What ages do we have?

We have players from 4 years of age to 8 or 9 participating in the miniroos programme before they step up into the under 12s.

Under 12s are players who have just stepped up into more formal settings from miniroos and are 12 or younger in the year they wish to play.

Under 14s are children who are 14 or younger in the year they wish to play in and can include under 12s.

Under 17s are teenagers who are 17 or younger and can include under 14s players and are also eligible to play the senior grades with parent or guardians written permission

Reserve and A grade are for all players of all genders who are past their junior years and can play either grade and can play both games each Sunday if desired. Finals has player qualification standards which are reviewed each year

Can girls and women play?

Yes most definitely, while we don’t have the numbers for a stand alone women’s team at the senior levels we always have 1 or 2 women play either reserves or A grade and we try to make it as comfortable and equal opportunity environment as possible. We are building female only facilities and hopefully that will attract more female participation.

At junior levels girls are actively encouraged to play to let as many people as possible enjoy our great game.

Do I need to be fit or have played before?

If you are happy to participate and bring a positive face then you will find a great and friendly environment to get healthy and learn new skills, whether you want to compete or not is totally up to you.

We have games at training and in the summer we participate in 7 a side competitions as well as good social games each Sunday through of the offseason.

We have some second hand boots and shin guards to borrow if needed and the clubrooms open for light food and drinks during the season

Can I be a member and not play?

Of course! Any support is most welcome and gives all the players a big morale boost to see new faces around the club and if anyone wants to help with anything from officiating to coaching to canteen helper or just want to watch good honest local soccer at a surprisingly high quality, you will be most welcome.

How do I register?

We have the link to get you as close as possible to the correct registration. If you need help there are plenty of people around the club who can help, just ask.
